Reiki
At Inner Light Healing Collective, Reiki is offered as a gentle, restorative experience designed to support deep relaxation, energetic balance and a greater sense of connection within yourself.
A moment to pause. A space to receive.
There is so much energy that goes into moving through everyday life.
Work. Family. Responsibilities. Decisions. Giving. Doing.
Reiki offers an invitation to step out of all of that for a little while.
To become still.
To breathe.
To receive.
You don't have to know anything about Reiki to begin. You simply have to be willing to receive.
WHAT IS REIKI?
An ancient practice of energetic healing.
Reiki is a Japanese energy healing practice that originated in the early 20th century.
The word Reiki is often translated as “universal life energy.”
The practice is based on the understanding that energy flows through and around all living things. When we are overwhelmed, depleted or carrying a lot, we can sometimes feel disconnected from ourselves.
A Reiki session creates intentional space for stillness, relaxation and energetic support. During a session, your practitioner may place their hands gently on or just above different areas of the body, allowing you to rest while they work with the energy of the space. There is nothing you need to perform. Nothing you need to achieve. You simply receive.
WHAT DOES REIKI FEEL LIKE?
It's different for everyone.
Some people experience Reiki as deeply relaxing. Some notice warmth, tingling, pulsing or a sense of movement. Some experience emotions, memories or insights. Others simply feel like they had a really beautiful nap.
And sometimes... you don't notice anything particularly dramatic at all. That's okay, too.
Reiki isn't something you have to “do correctly.”
Your experience may be different every time you receive it.
What matters most is creating a quiet, supportive space where your body and mind can soften.
WHAT CAN REIKI SUPPORT?
Reiki is often sought out as a complementary wellness practice to support:
Relaxation and stress reduction
A greater sense of calm
Rest and restoration
Mind-body connection
Emotional grounding
Personal reflection and self-awareness
Creating space during times of transition or change
Reiki is not a replacement for medical care, mental health care or other professional treatment. Instead, it can be a beautiful complementary practice within a broader approach to wellbeing.
YOUR REIKI EXPERIENCE
Come exactly as you are.
You don't need to prepare for your Reiki session in any special way.
Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to relax.
When you arrive, your practitioner will take a few moments to connect with you and answer any questions you may have.
You'll then settle onto a comfortable treatment table, fully clothed.
Your practitioner will guide you through the experience, using gentle hands-on or hands-above-body Reiki techniques.
You may drift into a deeply relaxed state, become quiet and reflective, or simply enjoy some uninterrupted stillness.
There is no right way to experience Reiki.
At the end of your session, you'll have a little time to slowly return to your day.
Our invitation is simple: give yourself permission to receive.
REIKI AT INNER LIGHT

Reiki is offered at Inner Light by both Jody and Jess.
While the foundation of Reiki is shared, every practitioner brings their own presence, intuition and way of holding space.
You are welcome to choose the practitioner you feel drawn to, or experience both and discover what feels best for you.
